KEITH DALE GORDON is a New
York based composer & lyricist who writes songs and scores for musical
theater, commercial jingles, award shows,
and sales videos.
THEATER: Keith has written music & lyrics for Saint Heaven, with book by Martin Casella (Village Theatre, Seattle; Stamford Center for the Performing Arts Rich Forum [featuring Montego Glover, Darren Ritchie, and Chuck Cooper]; NYMF–Director’s Choice; TRU New Musicals Festival–Best of Festival; Stages Chicago). He is currently writing the music for The Shadow Sparrow, with book by Anton Dudley and lyrics by Charlie Sohne (O'Neill National Musical Theater Conference; City Theater of Pittsburgh's 2012 Momentum Festival). He has also written music & lyrics for Girl Powers, with playwright Michele Aldin (Dixon Place Festival), and the score for the stage musical version of the film How To Marry a Millionaire. Keith is a BMI Musical Theatre Workshop alumnus.
CHORAL: Keith's choral/orchestral piece It Must Have Been debuted in Boston and Denver in early 2012. His choral/orchestral Mass for St. Timothy's will debut later in 2012 at St. Timothy's in Norword, MA.
SONGS: Artists who have recorded Keith's songs include JoJo David & Adam Birnbaum (Arrhae Press), Bayje (Atlantic), The Valli Girls (Sony/BMG), and Anne Marie David (Arrhae Press).
JINGLES: His jingles and promotional work have been featured in national advertising campaigns, sung by (among others) Diane Schuur, Valeri Simpson, and even Howard Stern.
