KEITH DALE GORDON

KEITH DALE GORDON is a New York-based writer, composer, and lyricist, specializing in musical theater, commercial jingles, award shows, and sales videos. He has been a featured writer at prestigious institutions such as the Johnny Mercer Writers Colony at Goodspeed Opera House and has held residencies at CAP 21 Musical Theatre Conservatory & Theatre Company and The O'Neill Theare Center.  

Keith's work has been showcased at renowned festivals and venues, including Stamford Center for the Performing Arts (CT), Village Theatre (WA), The O'Neill Musical Theater Center, The Santa Fe Musical Theatre Festival, The Momentum Festival at City Theater (Pittsburgh), the New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF, Director's Choice Award), TRU Festival in NYC (Best of Festival Award), Stages in Chicago, and the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

SAINT HEAVEN: music and lyrics by Keith, book by Martin Casella. Produced at Village Theatre (WA); Stamford Center for the Performing Arts Rich Forum (CT), featuring Montego Glover, Darren Ritchie, and Chuck Cooper; NYMF (Director’s Choice Award); the TRU New Musicals Festival in NYC (Best of Festival Award); and Stages in Chicago. 

THE WEDDING NIGHT: with book by Jana Hejduková, music by Stephen Coleman, and lyrics by Keith. Recognized as Pick of the Fringe in The Hollywood Fringe Festival and nominated for Outstanding Songwriting.

SADAKO & FLOYD: book, music, & lyrics by Keith. Developed at the Johnny Mercer Colony at Goodspeed and CAP 21 Musical Theatre Conservatory & Theatre Company.

GIRL POWERS: music and lyric by Keith, book by Michele Aldin Kushner. Featured at the Santa Fe Musical Theatre Festival and Dixon Place Festival NYC.  

THE SHADOW SPARROW: music by Keith, book by Anton Dudley and lyrics by Charlie Sohne. Showcased at the O'Neill National Musical Theater Conference and the Momentum Festival at City Theater, Pittsburgh.

Currently, Keith is writing music & lyrics for MARY MODERN, with book by Martin Casella, based on the novel by Camille DeAngelis.

Keith is a graduate of the University of Colorado College of Music (Piano Performance & Composition; Helen Walker-Hill Studio) and an alumnus of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop.

SONGS: Keith's songs have been recorded by notable artists, including JoJo David & Adam Birnbaum (Arrhae Press), Bayje (Atlantic), The Valli Girls (Sony/BMG), and Anne Marie David (Arrhae Press).

JINGLES: His jingles and promotional work have been featured in national ad campaigns, performed by artists such as Diane, Schuur, Valeria Simpson, and even Howard Stern.

CHORAL: Keith was commissioned to write the choral orchestral ​Mass for St. Timothy's. Keith's choral orchestral piece It Must Have Been debuted in Boston and Denver.
